Hello world!

Welcome to our small town website. 😉

My name is Jenny Duling. I’m a resident of Riverside, commercial pilot, and Star Trek fan.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m probably not worthy of writing a Star Trek-themed Blog (in fact this is my first one) since I don’t have much knowledge of Trek trivia or even seen a lot of episodes. What I do have, however, is a true love of the sci-fi genre and Gene Roddenberry’s progressive vision of space exploration, adventure, and discovery. As a friend of mine once told me, “Never apologize for your Fandom.” (Thanks Ty)

In other words, don’t hesitate to jump in and explore the Star Trek universe – conventions, gatherings, chats – wherever your interests take you. Whether you’re a Trivia master or a relative novice like me, more often than not you’ll find the sci-fi community welcoming and to quote Mr. Spock – “Fascinating.”

So join me in allowing yourself to escape the normal and embrace a universe in which the only limit is your imagination. Welcome Aboard!!

Getting out to Riverside for the first time in 2009 was a real treat. I graduated from a town in Texas with a population of 224, so Riverside has a lot more to offer than what I was used to. The museum has expanded so much since I last saw it in 2010. Great job to all involved. I look forward to making it back again. (Search “TreakFest 2009” for my multi-part video series I did on my first visit to that annual event.)

I have a Starship Enterprise built entirely from solid toothpicks … It weighs approximately 60lbs, is built to scale from a plans out of a historic star trek magazine centerfold. (I’m Assuming) I’m looking to find it a good home … would you be interested/ .. or know someone?

If interested in following up, please contact me with more information or Pics. Thank You!
